Remove blood stains from carpets and textile

Absorb blood with a blotter paper or with a paper towel to remove as much of the stain as you can. Then neutralise the stain with a spray solution: 1/2 cup of cool water and 1 tablespoon of clear ammonia. Again blot with the white paper towel to remove extra moisture.
Rinse on a solution made from 4 cups of water and a 1/4 teaspoon of dish detergent (be sure that detergent doesn't contain the bleach or lanolin). Continue to blotting with towel to let to the cleaning solution work into the blood stain. Then rinse the area with a cool water. Place a ‘pad’ of paper towels, put a brick or heavy book on top to absorb the moisture.

Really good blogs are not "running the streets", but here I found today what I have been looking for. Cheers!
